WHAT EXACTLY DOES 'REAL FOOD' MEAN ANYWAY?
Posted by Annabelle on Thursday, June 7, 2025
Simply put, a 'Real, Whole Food' Diet would refer to eating foods that are fresh, grown or raised naturally and organically in nutrient-dense soils, preferably locally and in season and picked at the peak of their growth. Then, they would be prepared and eaten in ways that don't completely denature or devoid them of all of their life-giving nutrients, enzymes and naturally good micro-organisms! This is eating in a way that will nourish your body, mind and spirit so that you may thrive on this Earth as intended!
Your dietary 'Lifestyle' can actually be simplified just by following this philosophy. Giving up the crammed-in-your-head-by-big-marketing-giants false information making you think that opening up a box of some kind of Hamburger Helper crap (even if it says Organic or Gluten-free...those are now buzz words used by these devils) is going to make your life easier! It's just going to make you sicker! You're a sitting duck for advertisers when you aren't armed with a little knowledge. Desire will give you the willpower to change your thinking and your habits! My next post will help you make those changes that can become your Lifestyle!
So why not eat $#*! and just pop some supplements?
There are certainly supplements that stand head and shoulders above others, such as many high quality, multi-ingredient, powdered green drink supplement. I also support using supplements to help quickly adjust deficiencies, but really encourage researching first to know what you're spending your money on and why!
Taking the time to prepare our own food whenever possible means we know what we're eating! We can't simply rely on the organic food isle because packaged means processed and misleading labels make it impossible to really know what we're buying. High fructose corn syrup is considered a 'natural' ingredient because it comes from corn! What is allowed by the FDA to be hidden under the guise of the word 'natural' is mind boggling (more on this soon!). They may deem small quantities of certain additives and chemicals safe for humans, but have they ever taken into consideration the impact of all the various additives combined effects and the buildup in our tissues day after day. Or how about their stealth addictive properties? In the book, The Hundred Year Lie, Randall Fitzgerald reminds us "When you take a bite of commercial food containing food additives, foreign chemicals enter your body whose safety was approved with 1930-s knowledge." Hmmmm.
Our food must be grown organically, in nutrient-dense soils. High quality, nutrient-dense food allows us to eat less while satisfying our needs. Testing has shown that the nutrient quality of produce grown in pesticide/herbicide ridden soils is highly inferior to those grown organically. Those chemicals also saturate the plant and are passed on to our bodies where their ill-effects have been linked to many medical issues as well as the possibility of those we aren't even aware of!
Nearly every non-organic product in America today containing wheat, corn, soy, cottonseed or canola oil, and even rice is contaminated with some form of genetically modified engineering. Besides the fact that we don't know exactly how our bodies process GMOs or what their long term effects are, they also contain antibiotics! Europe no longer even allows GMOs. Also...these genetically modified plants produce pollen and become airborne, forever changing our landscape...and who knows what else!
By the way...what's a Canola, anyway? Would you believe it's the oil that's been extracted from the genetically modified Rapeseed which is naturally toxic!
